Bat Walk

Join us for a guided walk along the river in Malmesbury, where we’ll be hoping to record Britain’s ‘water bat’ – the Daubenton’s bat – as it skims across the surface scooping up insects with its feet and tail. We were lucky to record Daubenton’s bats in one location last year so are hoping to get a better understanding of where it lives and hunts in other parts of the town. We may also encounter other bats such as pipstrelles and some larger bats like noctules and serotines as we wander through the town.
